otherworldly. He develops teasing images that evoke happy moods and memories in us that are

inspired by life in the real world. Each image becomes a playground for the viewer; we interject

Bures images are often figurative, organic, personal totems reflecting his travels, and his interest in music, animals and cartoons. In close view, they can become highly abstract. Bures develops his paintings without preconceptions, letting the paintings take form from a matrix of inner-outer dialog, observation, and chance discovery. The paintings record a mnemonic journey; a metaphor rich with possibilities of surprise and reiteration. Bures finds this his highly personal works general reveal the truth of a moment for him.                                                                                                  The Australian Jewish Times

Jiri is an avant-garde artist whose artistic expression takes fantastic shape through his diverse oil and acrylic paintings, sculptures and glass. His paintings and sculptures range from abstract to realistic to impressionistic - all visionary interpretations from his imaginative soul.

"When I paint, I dip my brush in my soul...

Being an Artist is a life force, not a career choice. Each piece represents a fragment of my life's work. I present the world artistically as I see it, as I wish to see it, and occasionally as I once saw it. You see, it is my identity.

Without this expression of self, I am nothing. Through my art I give love."
